#KeepThemHome, Tattoo Contest, & more
We wanted to share some recent news and calls to action from the Brave of US coalition.
#KeepThemHome: A Win on TPS
On Thursday, April 16, the U.S. House voted to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian migrants through 2029, a decision that is a first step to bringing safety and peace of mind to the over 350,000 Haitians who are beloved neighbors, parents, faith leaders, and integral members of our communities. Congratulations to Haitian Bridge Alliance and FLIC who were on the frontlines organizing to #KeepThemHome.
On April 29, SCOTUS will hear oral arguments in a case that may decide the future of TPS and the 400,000+ Haitians and Syrians who call America home. The #BraveofUS need to fight for our neighbors and loved ones who rely on TPS protections – let’s keep up the call to #KeepThemHome.

Astro Social Party in Brooklyn
Noticias Para Inmigrantes’ Astro Social party in Brooklyn last weekend was a hit! 700 guests turned out to celebrate Latino culture, music, resilience, and, of course, astrology. The event was written up by El Diario – in the words of one of the event organizers, Yazmín Magaña, “La alegría también es una forma de resistencia, especialmente para nuestras comunidades inmigrantes.” [“Happiness is also a form of resistance, especially for our immigrant communities.”]
You can check out some stories from the event in our Instagram highlight.

ICE Out of Our Sacred Spaces
Together with brave educators, healthcare workers, clergy, and community leaders from across the country, Brave of US coalition members Justice Action Center and NEA – along with AFT Union and Innovation Law Lab – are demanding #ICEOUT of sacred spaces like schools, hospitals, and churches. Add your voice with their toolkit: Join the chorus of people across the US demanding #ICEout: bit.ly/action-iceout.
